Avery Moore
Avery Moore
Avery Moore is a San Antonio-born, award winning Austin-based comedian, writer, voice actor, and radio personality. Her comedy has been described as “whimsical” and also “like a shark moving through water.” Lol. No, for real. Avery’s jokes bound widley across time and topic (Shirley Temple, anyone?) while being so hyper-specifically unique that Avery’s friend Aaron Brooks said, “no one could ever retell them.”
Avery performs at Fantastic Fest, SXSW, The Moontower Comedy Festival, Oddity Festival and was selected as a New Face 2018 at The Montréal Just For Laughs Festival. She’s appeared on PBS, Amazon Prime, Shudder, Doug Loves Movies, and has toured with some of the greats: Louie Anderson, Martha Kelly, Pat Dean, and the Emmy award winning Joe Mande (way 2 go Joe). In 2016, she and her friend and fellow comedian, Jake Flores, got tattoos of Dale Gribble (Rest in Peace Johnny Hardwick) and Hank Hill. In 2023, She and Flores started a King of The Hill Podcast called That’s My Podcast, I Don’t Know You, because they are from Texas and also Mother Nature.
Avery was named Best Stand Up Comic in Austin in 2018 and 2024 by The Austin Chronicle Best Of readers poll, and is one half of beloved Austin comedy duo and music video darlings, The McCuewans. Her debut Album “Avery Moore Live at The Ballroom” was released in 2023, and her first special premiered at the 2025 Moontower Comedy Festival.
“It’s circular. It’s like a carousel. You pay the quarter, you get on the horse, it goes up and down, and AROUND.” – Kevin Nealon, Happy Gilmore (1996)
