Kandace Medina is an Austin-based stand-up comedian, best described by her dad as “funny... if I pretend she’s not my daughter.” She's the former Roast Battle Champion of Austin and found a natural talent for being mean as a defense mechanism through childhood trauma. She's the creator and host of Banana Phone, a wildly successful (featured in the LA Times and Austin Monthly) weekly heckle/roast show at The Creek and The Cave. Kandace also produces and hosts Backyard Sluts, one of Austin’s long-running shows and a fan favorite. This cleverly risqué, rude broad has blessed SXSW, Skankfest, and Moontower Comedy Festivals, and can be heard on her podcast, GARGYRLS.
